Description of the dmc-5M method
Version 0.0.0, 1993. This program implements Dynamic Markov Compression (DMC) as described in Data Compression using Dynamic Markov Modelling by Gordon Cormack and Nigel Horspool (in Computer Journal 30:6, December 1987) Our tests used DMC with a memory usage of 5MB (dmc-5M) and 50MB (dmc-50M). |
